Julianne Wade is a painter based in Scottsdale, Arizona. She is inspired by the fragility and strength of the natural world, and most recently, the colors, textures, and moods of the desert. Her paintings come alive through delicate layers of brushwork that unify figure, landscape, wildlife, and botanical forms.

Julianne earned her MFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and during her studies there was part of the Low Residency program at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown. Originally from Massachusetts, she studied painting at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston. Julianne also works as an independent teacher offering art instruction to all ages. Her work has been featured in private collections, galleries, and museums in the Northeast and Southwest.

The figures in my paintings entwine with flora & fauna. Both fragile and strong, they are overgrown by and composed of the landscape.
